Paw Points Rewards is an online loyalty/rewards program that rewards members for all their cat product purchases. Visually, the web-app needed to be exciting, fun, and engaging. We went with a vibrant color palette and supporting elements that evoked joy and playfulness. After all, it had to appeal to the cat community, which is all about cuteness and "aww" cat moments.
The Experience
The UX UI needed to be intuitive and easy to navigate. We discovered that many of the users were of a certain demographic that was less tech-experienced. We had to be very clear and intentional about functionality choices. We also had to ensure we considered any possible accessibility issues, such as font size and contrast. We created empathy maps, personas, user flows, wires, journey maps, user testing, and prototypes to ensure we understood how our visitors might use and experience the web app.
UI Elements
Paw Points Rewards needed its site/app components and iconography to be as playful and fun as its primary subject, cats. A vibrant color palette was selected for the icons, paired with thin lines and strokes. Additional character was added by using an offset color fill. The illustrations carry through the whimsical, playful look and feel.
